Lowered you price from Beacons Perch to Droknars to 5K? That's terribly expensive, I think the normal price seems to be 2-3K. I mean, it's not like it even particularly difficult.

Anton is one of the best runners out there, he's been doing this before you even knew droknars rushing existed. his previous price was 10k, so yes it is a large price drop. he's one of the fastest rushers there is, and he can charge whatever price he wants. when you pay that extra 2-3k, you're paying for a show, not just to get there. plus, he's guaranteed to get you there, none of this "i've made 40 (read: 0) runs before, my price is 2k"

He can charge whatever he wants to charge, and if people want to pay 5k to be rushed, then that's great. He's not ripping anyone off, and they're not getting ripped off. Back when I rushed, I charged 8k, and people would pay that solely based on my reputation from the forums as a rusher. At the time the going rate of a rush was 4-5k, yet people still paid it because they were familiar with me, trusted me, and generally just prefered me rather than the other rushers. They were aware of the competition, yet they paid the extra amount. What YOU view as a ripoff isn't going to be the case for everybody. You may find value in spending time looking for a budget rusher, while other people find value in watching an expert rush and paying a little more for the name brand. You really have no basis of argument for calling his prices a ripoff.

All due respect...5K is priced too high. Like you have said you use to charge 8K. The market has changed since then. Just like it has changed again. Now 2K is a fair price. Not the best price but fair. There are more people rushing now. That drives the price down.

When I am in Beacon's Perch and I see people quoting 5K and up for a rush, I let all the people know in the open chat those prices are too high. Wait around or change districts and they will find it much cheaper.

I was charged 1.5K for my rush. The guy was a nice person. He showed us the view, the dwarfs getting wiped out, etc. He even wanted us to try to make it with him just to show us how hard it is. I made it about half way.

So when people say it is a rip-off to charge 5K I have to agree with them. The market has changed. More competition has driven the price down.

Oh wow, he's been doing runs since before I knew it event existed. Even if it is true, it is completely irrelevant. What does it matter how long he's been running? It's the same run no matter who does it.

How much faster can one runner be than another? I never really stop when I'm doing the run, so there's not alot of variability in it.

Paying 2-3K for a show? Well, I suppose if that's what people want. Although I'd be surprised if many were willing to pay double price for a "show". Sure he can charge what he wants to, but that doesn't stop it being steep.

As for being guaranteed to get you there, how difficult is it? Once you have the right skills it's a doddle. Do any runners regularly fail to get there?

I got mouthed off by a guy who was asking for 5k to run people from Grendich courthouse to Yak's Bend and I told him he was asking way to much. The trip is at best worth 500g for a run, if that. Oh well.

Just got rushed today for only 2k, by Guthra Stonefist.

He was very good, polite, funny, and charged the money at Camp Rankor.

He's also on the European servers, which is of course good for me.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about Runners between Beacons Perch and Droknars/Rankor etc.

Yes, you're always going to get scammers who will take a lowbie's cash and leave them stranded at some point along the run...

The lowbies themselves, even if they find a good reliable runner, they can get their Droknars armour and...er...that's about it. They'll get pwned outside in any area of the high Shiverpeaks, and apart from the armour at Droknars, there really isn't anything else there that they couldn't do in LA.

My other bugbear is that even with honest and fast runners, only W/Mos can actually really do it, and any other classes can't make money from doing it this way. That kind of gives W/Mos another big advantage in moneymaking, while all the other classes are limited to low/mid level farming for their gold.

Having said all that, I'm glad to hear that there actually are some runners who take their job seriously, and don't rip people off.

Angry Runners on the rise!

Has anyone been noticing a increase in the amount of runners? I'm talking about the ones who are, skipping their way though most missions and winding up in the crystal desert at lvl 14! The problem I see is many are just simply rushing to get from point A to point B and not taking the time to learn how to really use their character class. Mmm...maybe this is part of the reason why it seems even harder to find good groups for the ascending missions.

i like rushers. i didn't have to do all the missions again on my second character. the more runners the better. if u don't want low lvls in ur group then:
a) don't invite them
b) leave the group

It is also harder and harder to get money, hence the easiest way is probably to play the market if you are rich^W^W^W^W^W^W^W or rip off some suckers^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hnew players and offer running services
